D'LOS in the News

As we said a couple week ago, D'LOS from D'AS ARTE participated from 13-20.July 2008 in a Wood/Stone sculpting Symposium in Empfertshausen and Kalrtennordheim in Germany.

Here we have D'LOS in the Newspaper. I will give a translation to english:

"TO GIVE LOVE A LOT OF FORMS:
Maria (de los Angeles=D'LOS),from Weilheim moistened her alabaster-stone with water, in order to work on it with a file. She likes the smooth stone-material. She works usually with another kind of stone: Soap stone.

The mexican-born, who lives in Germany since 1999, want to use this symposium mainly to look for and find new artistic connections. "I live in a little town" she says, and one likes to have this kind of opportunities, as in this Symposium.

She has changed sides, because as a Lawyer, she has worked on art since her childhood. The work of her father had a great impact on her, and later she began to work by her own. D'LOS, her artistic name, is not only a sculptor, she has worked with painting, Theather, Dance and music, as a balance to her life as a mother and wife, and to her Ph.D work at the university."

KUNSTAUSSTELLUNG "VON, DURCH UND FÜR DIE KINDER"

D'LOS in der Rhöner Holzbildhauersymposium

Between the 13th and the 20th of July, D'LOS, from D'AS ARTE, will be participating in the 9th Wood/Rock sculpting symposium in Empfertshausen and Kalrtennordheim in Germany.

This years' theme is "Liebe"="Love", which is one of the favourites themes of D'LOS. She will be working live with Speckstein (there will be public all the time).

Nuestra primera entrada en el blog en el 2008 tiene mucho que ver con una persona que nos ha ayudado y acompañado desde la fundación de D'AS ARTE.

Hoy D'AS ARTE quiere felicitar a Guillermo de Lucca en su cumpleaños y desearle que la pase muy bien y que cumpla muchos más.

Last events of the year 2007

After a couple of successful exhibitions in "La Peña" in October and November 2007 (thanks to Ricardo Jonas in Ehningen, Germany), we are looking forward to the "Über-brücken" Event (Ritus-Kunst-Kultur) organized by the Fundacion Luz de Luna and Jutta Klee in Heilbronn, Germany, where D'LOS from D'AS ARTE will be offering a Ritual "Dance of the Death"
as part of the mexican "Day of the Dead" celebrations (December 2nd, 2007).

This will be the last live event of D'AS ARTE, its Team and their works in 2007 and we are very excited to begin our second year of activities in 2008.

We hope to see you in Heilbronn on Sunday 02.12.07 and we wish all of you a happy beginning of the Christmas-time.
